“You did it!” AAMC’s Nursing grads honored at 3rd annual Nursing Graduation celebration.
On Thursday, June 23, AAMC hosted its third annual Nursing Graduation celebration. Employees who have graduated with a nursing degree over the past year gathered to commemorate their achievement together. Both entry-level nurses, as well as our lifelong learners who earned bachelor’s or master’s degree, were honored.
Christine Frost, MSN, RN, NEA-BC, Senior Nursing Director of Acute Care Services, congratulated the group, then graduate Rita Linnenkamp, MSN, RN, spoke about some of the challenges and rewards of going back to school for a master’s degree.
In conclusion, Rita said, “I have one last story that illustrates my gratefulness to the AAMC nursing team and also is the product of the commitment of AAMC to the development of the staff. Baby Jake was born here on 11/10/15 at 23 weeks and 4 days, weighing in at 1 pound 9 ounces, to a couple desperate to have a baby. He is now well over 14 pounds and doing great. Kudos to the L&D, NICU, the whole team! With your expertise you cared for not only Jake but also the emotions of the whole family. Our nursing team is truly…Powered by knowledge. Inspired by caring.”
Graduates from the following schools were represented:
-Anne Arundel Community College
-Carroll Community College
-Notre Dame of Maryland
-Saint Joseph’s University of Maine
-University of Maryland
-University of Maryland Baltimore
A huge congrats to all of our grads!
