Special Call for Proposals for Quality Improvement Projects
The Nursing Evidence Based Practice Research Council is now awarding Bedside Scientist grants for outcome focused quality improvement projects focused on improving patient care outcomes, improving the nurse work environment, and decreasing nursing workforce injuries.
All grants will be for a twelve month period from the time of study approval. All data collection must be completed by February 2018. Due to the writing timeline of our upcoming Magnet document for redesignation, quarterly data (i.e. NDNQI, Press Ganey Patient Satisfaction) cannot be used unless the project has already been started and meets the proposal guidelines.
Projects will be reviewed and approved by the Council, using scoring criteria to evaluate the strength of the projects and feasibility of successfully completing within a year.
The application for this special call for proposal is available on the intranet under: T:\Councils\Nursing Organization Quality Council\Bedside Scientist Grant Special Call for Proposal Feb 2017\AAMC-Bedside-Scientist-Grant-Application Special Call for Outcome Focused Quality Improvement Projects.doc. It was also emailed out to all nurses on 2/24 by Barbara Jacobs.
Once completed, please send to Cathaleen Ley, PhD, RN, Director of Nursing Research and Quality, at firstname.lastname@example.org. Cathaleen is happy to meet with you in advance to discuss your project ideas.
