Below, a letter from a nurse practitioner who refers patients to AAMC. She noticed what she calls the “Anne Arundel effect,” resulting in happy patients who feel well cared for.

I am not sure who is responsible for the wonderful attitude of staff at AAMC, but I wanted you all to know that we appreciate it! My patients come back from appointments, radiation, chemo, or procedures and wax poetic about the smiles, the graciousness, the feeling of CARE that exudes from your people.

My husband was a radiation patient and I decided to come with him to AAMC one day to understand what he was speaking about: your staff – the receptionist, the nurses, the doctors, the cleaning people – were all so happy and gracious. And it made him feel better.

I came back and spoke to my staff about the “Anne Arundel effect” on patients — it makes a difference.

So, can this be packaged? I just wish we could send more patients to you! Keep up the great work.
