Recently I underwent an outpatient surgical procedure performed by a long standing friend and colleague Dr. Adrian Park. Each aspect of the pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative processes were carried out flawlessly, with courtesy, professionalism and true caring. My wife and I were kept completely informed about where I was in the process, further supported by technology.

While I cannot possibly list all of the healthcare professionals that contributed to my care I would like to personally recognize Jodi Doney, RN, (SSU), Kathy Bonanno, RN, (PACU), Iryna Grabovetska,RN, (SSU), Dr. Martin Walko and Dr. Karen Kabat. I have had a number of hospital admissions and surgical procedures over the years and the care I received from this dedicated team of professionals was unparalleled.

I have had the opportunity to observe healthcare delivery as a patient, Surgeon, Hospital Chief Medical Officer, Health System Chief Medical Officer and now as an international physician surveyor for the Joint Commission International. When we returned to the Eastern Shore after a five year absence we had to reestablish local healthcare. My wife and I both attended a nearby university and did our respective specialty training there. We assumed we would re-engage with them, but after carrying out our due diligence we decided on AAMC for our healthcare care. My recent experience confirmed we made the right choice. I have also referred one of my neighbors, who was struggling to establish a primary care home. He was very pleased with his experience with Annapolis Internal Medicine and Dr. Tim Woods.

I recognize the organization-wide commitment that it takes to achieve the results that I was able to personally experience. Keep doing what you are doing because it’s working.
