Need to do a lit review or search for an article? Check out AAMC’s library resources for Nursing
There have been a few changes to our Medical Library. Most notably, it’s location. Although the Library has retained the moveable shelving in the Clatanoff Pavilion for our bound collection, the space formerly occupied by the Medical Library near the Clatanoff Lobby is now used by the LEAN group. My office is now in the new physician’s lounge in the South Tower, opposite the glass coffee shop.
AAMC no longer receives print journals — our collection of books and journals are all online. This means our staff can search for any book or journal they need through the Intranet. Under Medical Library, click on AAMC Electronic Journal and Book List A to Z to check availability. If we do not have the resource you are seeking, you can request it.
To do this, or for assistance in performing a literature search, go to the sidebar of AAMC’s employee homepage to Online Requests, then click it on Request Medical Literature and Information (see below). These requests come straight to me I will let you know that she received it.
If you need a refresher in how to use the Medical Library online resources or how to do some basic literature searching, please contact me at x4877 or firstname.lastname@example.org. – Joyce C. Miller, Medical Librarian.
