MNA Convention coming to AAMC – save the date!
The snow has finally melted and you’re daydreaming about your upcoming summer vacation. But wait! October will be here before you know it, mark your calendars now for the 2011 MNA Convention: The Future of Nursing.
AAMC is hosting the 108th Annual Maryland Nurses Association Convention on Oct. 13-14, 2011 and all member and non-member nurses and students are invited. National and local speakers will present timely topics and engaging, innovative, and interactive workshops that enable participants to effect change and lead in our ever-changing healthcare environment.
Last year, many AAMC nurses were directly involved in the convention. Chief Nursing Officer, Sherry B. Perkins, Ph.D, R.N. welcomed attendees each day. L&D’s own Holly Greever, R.N. and Robin Colchagoff, M.S.N., R.N.C. presented “The Relationship between Team STEPPS and OB Simulations” on Thursday afternoon. Adele Greenis, R.N. showcased her research on patient satisfaction, and Julie Blackburn, B.S.N., R.N., Jane Corner, M.S.N., R.N., C.R.N.P., and Cathleen Rawlings, M.S.N., R.N., C.R.N.P. presented a poster on advanced practice professionals at AAMC.
