HVU and CCU nurses “treated me with the utmost respect and understanding”
We get letters like this all the time — and they always make us smile. A patient’s response to the care she received from her “outstanding” nurses on the Heart & Vascular Unit and the Critical Care Unit.
Last year, I suffered a heart attack with multiple complications. I was hospitalized for three weeks, followed by two weeks at a rehab facility before returning home.
My recovery at home has been slowed by fluid accumulation around my lungs. Recently, I was taken to the Emergency Room at AAMC with breathing problems and was admitted to the hospital. During my stay, the following nurses provided me with outstanding and compassionate care:
Christine Johnson, RN (HVU)
Kathleen Smith, RN (HVU)
Kelly Vogt, RN (HVU)
Miemie VanRooyen, RN (CCU)
Ruthie Lee, RN (CCU)
These women treated me with the utmost respect and understanding of my battle to regain the health and life I enjoyed before my heart attack. Please recognize them for their thoughtful care.
