Help provide kids in our community with back to school backpacks

This summer, AAMC’s Community Service Initiative (CSI) will again collaborate with the Light House shelter to collect back to school essentials for needy children in our area. We need your help! We are asking each unit to prepare two backpacks — one for a boy and one for a girl, ranging in age from kindergarten to 8^th grade.

Here are some suggested items to include:

3 ring binder
Lined filler paper
Indexed dividers
Colored pencils
Red correcting pens
Highlighter
Composition notebooks
Ruler
Post-it notes
Index cards
Scotch tape
Black sharpies
Pencil sharpener
Glue/glue sticks
#2 pencils
Small tip markers
Back packs (non-rolling)
Pencil pouch/supply case
Erasers
Scissors
White out
Sheet protectors
Blue and black ink pens
Hand sanitizer
Individual pack tissues

Please bring final donations to the Rotary Room on Tuesday, July 28 between 1:30-4pm.
