Teena Corey, AAMC chef

For many years, Teena Corey, chef at AAMC, has incorporated locally grown produce into our cafeteria meals. “I like to think the dishes are prepared with care,” shares Teena as she strolls through the Riva Road farmer’s market. Recognizing the importance of farm fresh, locally grown produce, Teena takes great pride in designing her menu with seasonal produce in mind.

AAMC supports its staff and community in making healthier lifestyle choices. Buying organic, fresh food is one way to eat healthier, but it can be expensive to shop at specialty grocery stores and many staff don’t have farmer’s markets near their homes.

Get ready to cheer… Starting June 7, AAMC is Bringing the Market to You!

On Mondays and Fridays from 2:00-6:00 p.m., AAMC will host a farmer’s market in the South lot. Take the bus, or better yet walk or ride your bike on over!

On the first Monday of the month (June 7, July 5, August 2) a Registered Dietician will be available to answer your questions.

Read our “Great Place to Work” emails for simple, delicious recipes to assist you in being a healthier you.

Remember, this is YOUR farmer’s market! What would you like to see offered? Succulent strawberries? Crispy carrots? Fresh herbs? Let us know here.

This is great! How convenient and also healthy. Thanks Charlotte.

I am looking forward to the Farmer’s Market. Is this open to the public?

Now this is a perk for parking in the South Lot!!

I’ll share your requests with the farmers. Thanks!!

“AAMC_RN” ~ I like your idea of cheeses and bread. Let me look into it. Actually, do you have a favorite bakery you would like us to invite?

This is the greatest perk since the employee pharmacy. Love this idea and I plan to be there every week. Can I put in a request for peaches and corn? Also love cheeses and breads. Thanks.

This is a fantastic and fresh idea!
I hope employees remember the days and each one has a great turnout!
I would like to see yellow, orange, and green peppers, tomates, broccli, potatoes, sugar snap peas, small watermelon, vidalia onions!
    Thank you!!!
