A hero is found in Short Stay
Marty is a true hero. Marty has worked on the Short Stay Unit for about 10 years as a Customer Service Representative and has continued to put a smile on the children’s faces the whole time.
When a child comes out of surgery and gets settled in the Phase ll area, Marty is there with a stuffed animal for them. The parents are excited to see that someone so caring has gone the extra mile for their child. The nurses also appreciate the kindness Marty provides to their patients and giving them a new friend to cuddle. Donations are sponsored by local stores, friends, or even purchased by Marty himself.
