Your smile for the day: Jennifer Watson, RN, takes great care of patients — and trees
OR nurse Jennifer Watson graduated from AAMC’s Nurse Residency Program on June 19, 2014. During the graduation ceremony, Jen and her colleagues all received small tree seedlings, symbolizing their growth over the coming years.
On that day, Sherry Perkins, COO/CNO, asked the graduates to take the seedlings home and plant them – then, as they grow, snap a picture and send it to her as part of an unofficial “seedling survival” competition.
Jen Watson, RN, did just that! Her seedling is thriving. She sent in this picture and writes, “I just wanted to send you a picture of the tree from my internship graduation last year and let you know I actually haven’t killed it!”
Thanks, Jen, for sending in the proof! Your tree looks healthy and happy!
Any other graduates who have nurtured their seedlings into full tree status? Let us know!
