Professional Power Hour – Social Media: Dangerous Trap or Professional Tool?

Social Media: Dangerous Trap or Professional Tool?
Wednesday, March 2, 2016
1:30 – 2:30 p.m.
2nd floor Conference Room, South Tower

Speaker
Natalie Goldsmith, Marketing Generalist, Marketing and Communications

In our increasingly networked world, it has become the norm to participate in some form of social media. As a result, healthcare providers must explore this question: How can we use social media to strengthen our profession and benefit our patients, their families, and our community?

We’ll identify common ‘mistakes’ healthcare professionals make on social media; discuss best practices for using social media as a healthcare professional; explore the opportunities and benefits of social media; and review AAMC’s current social media policies, how we currently use it, and how our process is evolving. Hope to see you there.
