Older adults may be at an increased risk for adverse drug events because of altered pharmacokinetics, increased exposure to multiple medications, and comorbid conditions. Learn how to best care for this patient population and reduce falls through:
- -identifying risk factors
- -managing the dosing and administration of medications
- -recognizing adverse drug events
- -and by using the BEERS criteria, which provide a guideline for safer use of medications in older adults.
