Patient writes in to thank “kind, patient, caring” MSU staff
“Between the two of us, my husband and I have spent probably two months in the Medical Surgical Unit since the beginning of this year. The care has always been excellent — nurses and techs alike are outstanding. They are kind, patient, caring and go above and beyond what one would expect. They are generous with their own time, listen to their patients and are very quick to answer the call bell. They work together, help each other and have a very positive attitude. They all try very hard to not only take care of the patients’ physical needs, but also to take the time to cheer them up and always ask if there is anything they can do for you.
“To make patients feel even more cared for and about, the clinical director, Mr. Justin Bowser, comes in to check on the patients as well, to make sure their needs are met and to see if he can help in any way. I must say I have never seen this in any hospital and I have been in several.
“All the time I spent there, the entire staff, especially the RN, but the techs, the housekeeping staff, the servers, everyone that works on that unit, has the utmost respect and love — for a lack of a better word — for this young director. The staff likes each other and very obviously Mr. Justin Bowser. I can see why, I certainly do. He has the respect of the nurses that were at the old hospital. Everyone wants to work on his unit. I’ve written numerous letters about his great nurses and techs. Yet all the while I took for granted that this was just a great MSU. It finally dawned on me to give credit where credit is due. Whoever made this choice made a great one. Mr. Justin Bowser has to be one of the best, with a great management style and people skills.”
