New eCards for BLS, ACLS, & PALS

The  American Heart Association (AHA) has discontinued paper cards and now provides eCards for BLS, ACLS, and PALS classes.  In approximately 1-2 weeks our current paper card stock will be depleted and Clinical Education will start to issue eCards.

1. After completing BLS, ACLS, or PALS you will receive an eCard via email from eCards@heart.org.
2. The card will be sent to your AAHS email address.
3. The flyer “How to Claim Your AHA eCard.”  will be given to staff who attend classes and when employees come for the manikin skills appointments.
4. Clinical Education and HR will continue to track and maintain records for newly certified and renewals of certifications taken at AAMC. HR will continue to send out reminders about expiring certification.
5. As before, any staff taking classes outside of AAMC will need to take a copy of the card to Human Resources. Cards can be printed as a card or full sized.
