Mission Trips Power Hour

The Clinical Education and Professional Development recently hosted a missions trip power hour were participants learned what it takes to serve on a mission trip. Presenters Monica Mewshaw and Denise Matteson shared their experiences and discussed the various local organizations that travel across the globe to serve those in need.

Funding for a missions trip can be challenging, however, there are creative ways to help support the financial costs associated with travel. Some creative ways are through raffles, bake sales, or partnering with a local business.

The DAISY Foundation has recently introduced a new grant program called DAISY Medical Mission Grant that is designed for DAISY recipients to help offset the costs of a mission trip. The application opens November 14, 2018, and the deadline to apply is January 4, 2019.
