Lobby Night information, links and education — don’t miss this opportunity to learn more about the lobbying process

Flashback to Lobby Night 2015. We hope to see our experienced Lobby Night’ers, at well as nurses who have never attended!

We hope you will join nurse colleagues from AAMC and all over the state of Maryland for Nurses’ Lobby Night in Annapolis on Monday, Feb. 15, 2016 from 5-8pm.

If you are interested in attending, please:

  1. Register with the Maryland Nurses Association (attendance is limited): Visit www.marylandrn.org/, then click on Upcoming Events, then 2015 MNA Nurses Lobby Night. There is a small registration fee which the hospital will reimburse for those who attend.
  2. Register with AAMC: Visit nurses-night-info-session.eventbrite.com. This will help us connect all the nurses who are planning to attend and allow you to reserve a spot on the free shuttle that will travel from AAMC to downtown Annapolis and back. Shuttles will depart at 3:30pm and 4:15pm and return to AAMC at 8pm.
  3. Attend the Lobby Night Information Session: The Professional Nurses Council and AAMC Lobby Committee will be holding an information session on Wednesday, Feb. 3 from 4-6 pm in the ED conference room for all attendees and anyone interested in learning more about the lobby process. Contact hours will be awarded! All are invited to attend and we STRONGLY recommend that anyone who is registered for lobby night attend so that you can learn about the bills that will be presented this year.

For more information, contact Brandy Brown (bbrown4@aahs.org) or Cheryl Briggs (cbriggs@aahs.org).
