“How do I thank you? Let me count the ways,” writes patient’s husband to ED and HVU staff
How do I thank you, let me count the ways.
Recently my wife was admitted to the Emergency Department, having suffered a seizure and irregular heartbeat. Over the next three days she was taken care of by a group of extraordinary medical professionals.
In the ER, Beth Hughes, RN, and Jeannie Brooke, RN, were so helpful while my wife was being stabilized. They helped with her extreme anxiety and agitation, as you might imagine.
Once on Heart and Vascular Unit, she was attended to by Grace Smith, RN, and Vanessa Bailey, PCT, at night and Megan Clower, RN, Jamie Whilden, RN, and Samantha Powell, PCT, during the day. They all went out of their way to be helpful and also kept this anxious husband more relaxed as they went about their various tasks of care. They were so special and the night crew even sang to my wife, not required, but so important to helping my wife.
Dr. Ikenna Onyenemezu was really helpful to me as we prepared my wife for her release and follow up care.
Please pass along my thanks to these extraordinary people; they were so special to my wife and I.
