Help Celebrate World Breastfeeding Week August 1-7
Today kicks off the start of World Breastfeeding Week! Here at AAMC, we have a wonderful team of International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC) who work hard with our new families to help begin their breastfeeding journey. These talented nurses help support, educate, and follow-up with newborns throughout the Clatanoff Pavilion, including the NICU.
AAMC is proud to celebrate the strides in exclusive breastfeeding rates through various efforts such as rooming-in and skin-to-skin contact. The lactation department continues to practice current evidence-based research to ensure new families are successful in their breastfeeding journey. AAMC is also proud to have designated pumping rooms that are open to all AAMC employees. Pumping rooms are located:
Clatanoff Pavilion
1st floor Women’s Surgical Unit
3rd floor of Mother/Baby Unit
Belcher Pavilion
7th Floor

South tower – 3rd floor, 5th floor, and 6th floor
