AAMC Spine Center ranks in 98th percentile across U.S.

On September 22, the Spine Center surgeons, nurses, PCTs and therapists gathered to celebrate their FY’17 (July 2016- June 2017) patient satisfaction score of 91%.  Since the average score for spine units across the country is just 73%, AAMC’s score places them in the 98th percentile!

The Spine Center team attributes this success to a renewed focus on mobility and pain management. Over the past year, they have introduced: group therapy with a relaxation/mindfulness component, kinesiotaping for muscle spasms, improved cold therapy methods, and pain medication regimens designed to decrease use of opioids.

Dr. Chad Patton, medical director of the spine program, and all of the surgeons expressed their appreciation to the staff:

“We can’t thank you enough for what you do for our patients.  This achievement isn’t because of what we do in the OR, but how you treat patients when they come to the floor.”
“My patients always give glowing reviews of their in-house experience. “
“Kudos to Tina, Mary and all the nurses, therapists and everyone else who do an amazing job every day.  Thanks so much for all the hard work.”
“Congratulations and a big thank you to all who work so hard to make our patients feel cared for and satisfied!”

 Way to go Spine Team!
