duckieBathing our Babies in Formaldehyde?  Not any more!

Thanks to the collaborative efforts of the “Greening the Nursery” workgroup and the Materials Management team, AAMC is one of the first Maryland hospitals to offer a safer product to our littlest patients.

In 2009, articles emerged showing Johnson & Johnson baby wash contained two potentially cancer-causing chemicals: 1-4 dioxane and quaternium-15 (a chemical that releases formaldehyde).  For more information on the article “Baby’s Tub is Still Toxic” by the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics, please click here .

AAMC is proud to announce that our new “Johnson Natural” baby soap is:

  • Free of Parabans
  • Free of Dyes
  • Free of Phthalates
  • Hypoallergenic

This information is awsome. Great research and great decisions. Thanks. I think all of us need to be more aware of what we bathe with. This gives our little ones a fighting start.
