Physicians, nurses and techs across the house get a “doctor’s note” of thanks
This patient family member is also a physician. She wrote in to thank our nursing staff, techs, and physicians for the “extraordinary” care her father-in-law received. We are so honored that a medical colleague notices and appreciates what we do here at AAMC.
My recent experience at your Medical Center has been extraordinary, from the Emergency Department to the surgeon to the nursing care on the Heart and Vascular Unit.
My father-in-law was having intractable pain. His distress was instantly recognized and treated quickly and effectively. Matt Neff, RN, was his ED nurse and he made us feel comfortable and confident that we were in the right place.
Dr. Dina Esterowitz got appropriate treatment going very quickly and Dr. Mark Peeler in Vascular Surgery saw him within two hours of arrival at the ED and had him in interventional radiology within two hours of that.
Once admitted, my father-in-law was ably cared for by nurses, Vicki Noland, RN, and Jennifer Buckmaster, RN, and techs, Brandon Mihelich and Kristin Caldwell, on the Heart and Vascular Unit. He was seen numerous physicians who would be involved in his care and the nursing staff was very attentive to the details of his care and the side effects of his medications.
In short, this was a very efficient and comforting hospital stay and I and our immediate family all feel very comfortable that he is in the right place. Thanks to all involved for that.
