Let’s Get Active, Anne Arundel Nurses!
Need help staying focused on your health and fitness? Then join Active Anne Arundel, a new two-month program launching Saturday, March 27.
The wellness initiative aims to help you and your family remain focused on health and fitness goals through various challenges offered by partnering organizations. The program is an innovative partnership between AAMC, Annapolis Recreation & Parks, the Anne Arundel County Department of Health, Anne Arundel County Recreation & Parks, Anne Arundel Community College and Anne Arundel County Public Schools.
The two-month program will guide county participants in increasing their levels of physical activity to a minimum of 30 minutes a day, six-to-seven days every week, while encouraging them to increase their fruit and vegetable consumption to at least five servings per day. All AAMC employees are encouraged to attend the program.
Participation in Active Anne Arundel is open to anyone living, working and/or attending school in Anne Arundel County. Team participation is open to Anne Arundel County employers, families, friends, churches, and community groups, as well as groups of individuals residing in the county. Participants or teams participating in challenges can expect activities that add variety to both an individual’s diet and physical fitness.
