How can you support EBP at AAMC?

We all know that evidence-based practice (EBP) is important – identifying solid research findings and implementing them in our nursing practice results in quality patient care.

But what is our level of knowledge and confidence in using EBP at AAMC? Help us find out!

A few days ago, you received an email inviting you to collaborate with the Academic Center of Evidence-Based Practice at The University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio. You were asked to complete the ACE Evidence-Based Practice Readiness Inventory (ACE-ERI), which assesses your knowledge and confidence regarding EBP competencies.

Why take the survey? Your answers will help us plan appropriate educational offerings for you as we work to improve EBP knowledge at AAMC. It is completely confidential and will take about 20 minutes.

Kathleen Stevens EdD, RN, ANSF, FAAN, author of the ACE Star Model of Knowledge Transformation (the EBP model adopted by AAMC several years ago) will discuss the preliminary findings during Nurses Week:

Knowing What Works: Interventions that Produce Outcomes
Tuesday, May 7 from 8-10am and 11:30am-1:30pm
Doordan Institute
RSVP to clinedu@aahs.org

Wow, I took the survey, and found out that there is much more to learn about EBP that I thought possible!! Being a nurse makes us natural researchers… imagine our potential!
