Hot rods and trick trucks — Annapolis Car Show benefits AAMC’s Diabetes Center

The Annapolis Car Show, featuring hot rods, antique trucks and classic cars, was held August 2 at Koons Ford Lincoln of Annapolis. The AAMC Diabetes Center received all proceeds from the sales of raffles and bake sales. The event was a huge success — and the Diabetes Center raised $5,360.00!

Anita Smith, BSN, RN, led the effort, while Diabetes Educators Margaret McLellan, Karen McConnell and Anne Hayes worked the raffle table with staff Mary Ann Julian, RN, and husband, Heather Matheu and daughter, and Laticia Preble, RN – thank you, thank you.

It’s always fun to be at this event, the cars are beautiful, the raffle prizes are fantastic and it’s for a wonderful cause.          -Margaret McLellan
