DAISY Healer’s Touch sculpture unveiled in memory of Bob O’Bryhim, RN.
On Thursday, August 23, family, friends, and colleagues gathered to witness the unveiling of the DAISY Award Healer’s Touch sculpture in memory of Bob O’Bryhim, RN. Bob was a long-time employee of AAMC until his unexpected passing in December 2017. Bob was one of the first celebrated DAISY Award winners at AAMC, which recognized his compassion and expert clinical care at the bedside. He was known for his compassionate nursing care, sense of humor, optimism, and generosity. Cindy Sweeney, Executive Director for the DAISY Foundation, spoke a few words and colleagues shared stories on Bob’s behalf. Bob is missed dearly at AAMC and this statue is a way of remembering him for years to come.
The statue is located on the first floor of the main Hospital Pavilion North, directly next to the main entrance. Past DAISY Award winners are also recognized on a beautiful plaque in this area.
