Congrats to AAMC’s newest PCTs!

Donna Farina (OBS), Leanne Sorrells (Antepartum),Tina Adams (PCU), Toni-Marie Travers (PACU), Cheryle Holmes (MBU), Kim Haney (NICU)Congratulations to the graduates of the Fall 2010 cohort Patient Care Technician Program. Their families, educators, and directors gathered to celebrate the students’ achievement on Dec. 14. Our CNO, Sherry B. Perkins, PhD, RN, awarded each PCT with a certificate and Certified Nursing Assistant pin.

The six week program, held twice a year in March and October, was developed to assist current employees in acquiring a CNA license and to support their transition into the role of a Patient Care Technician II.
 
The program director is Irma Holland, MSN, RN and clinical instruction provided by Evelyn Farkas, RN (MB), Jenn Wilson, MSN, RN (Clinical Education/PCU), and Margaret Wyatt, MSN, RN (ED).
