Meeting a need in our global community: AAMC scrubs donated to Grenada hospital

Recently, the Ministry of Health in Grenada contacted Global Links, a medical relief and development organization, requesting one thing – scrubs for the 1,000 healthcare workers on the small Caribbean island.

Last year, AAMC sent over 2,800 teal scrubs to Global Links, sorted by size and type. Remember this? Globally-minded: AAMC donates surplus supplies to resource-poor communities around the world.

Luckily, these scrubs were still available! With the help of AAMC, Global Links is now able to provide three sets of scrubs to every health professional at Grenada’s public hospital.

Our scrubs, alongside gurneys, IV poles, pediatric stretchers and various medical supplies, will start their journey via sea container on November 6 and arrive the first week in December. -Charlotte Wallace, RN, Sustainability Coordinator
